Ami

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am the youngest of five daughters. From an early age I loved following my sisters around and playing with them. A trait I have kept over the years. I have always been very close to my family, and they are my best friends.

One of my main memories from being young is always matching with my sisters and wearing big bows. I hated it as a child, but we still will wear matching clothes on vacations and we all love it now. (I still hate the big bows though) My parents kept me very involved in activities as a child and a teenager. I did the piano lessons, and played soccer as a little girl. Then in Middle School I became very involved in acting and being in plays, and I also played the clarinet.

By the time I hit High School I wanted to be involved in as much as I could. I was involved in FCCLA, Special Needs Mutual, Seminary Council, and Choir. This was such a good time of life for me. I had many good friends, and loved all that I was doing. I also learned so much from the many things I was doing.
I am grateful that my parents got me involved, and that I was able to learn so much from all of my opportunities. I am also grateful for how close I was able to get to my parents during these years. By the time I went into High School I was the only one living at home. During those three years I got to spend so much time with my parents. I was blessed to have them so involved in my life. They went with me to Seattle on my Choir Tour. I also was lucky enough to have them at every camp, youth conference, and Pioneer Trek I went on with my church.

After I graduated from high school I went down to Provo, UT for college. As strange as it may sound I loved school. I went to both Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University.  I took lots of credits, and did lot's of research. I graduated with a double major in Public Health and Communications. I also enjoyed the social life of a single college student, and loved hanging out with my friends. I met James and married him, and my life became even more happy.

Although I loved my education and have lots of passion for the fields I studied in, I decided the main goal I have is to be a stay at home mom. I still feel I need a way to help support my family if needed. A couple of years ago I started my own home business so I could work from home and still give my full attention to my children.
