James is the youngest of three siblings. His oldest sister, Bethany, is married with four children. His older brother, Richie, is currently going to school for animation and design. His parents, Richard and Alison, have been happily married for 30 years.
The family enjoys getting together about once a month for Sunday dinners at their parents’ house in Provo. They also try to do a yearly trip to Disneyland with the whole family to enjoy the experience together.
James and Ami have season tickets to BYU basketball with his parents and enjoy the games together. His parents have a couple dogs at home so we will sometimes bring our dog down to play with them for a while. His family also enjoys playing Wii games together as most family members completely lack the necessary coordination to play.

James met his birth mother Amy when he was 17. They quickly bonded and enjoy a good relationship today. He met his half-brother and half-sister in Seattle when he was 18 and they all have an uncanny resemblance to each other.
James will see Amy every once in awhile when she is in town and they enjoy spending time together. We also got to go on a trip to Disneyland with her over the summer. It was great to get to know her even better, and spend quality time with her.
